Diane’s class has been a wonderful journey for me. Her teaching is very supportive as well as informative. She has compassion and great patience, and she always explains and answers my questions thoroughly. Being a classical music performer, we often experience performance anxiety that prevents us from performing at our best level, no matter what the cause may be. Our bodies tense up, we lose elasticity, our minds rush ahead and it makes it extremely hard to focus.

Diane has helped me by giving me the tools to cope with these situations. The skills I've learned not only improve my performance, but also help prevent overuse injuries, as I play many hours of rehearsals and concerts each week.

Since joining her Alexander technique class 2 years ago, the quality of my symphony job and my daily life has been restored. I am healthier both mentally and physically. I can not thank Diane enough and I recommend her class to everyone!

I feel so lucky and grateful to have Diane in my life, not just as an AT teacher, but as a mentor, conversationalist, confidant and friend. She is one of the most genuine, warm, caring, supportive individuals, for whom everything is done with love. After sessions with her, my body is longer and looser, my mind is calmer and more peaceful, and if I've been playing cello, my tone is more open and fast notes happen with more ease. I'm more aware of my whole body, from the inside out, and the way Diane talks through table work is a gentle, inquisitive meditation. I do have many years background in the Alexander Technique, but I believe that Diane is an ideal guide for those new to the technique, or like me, who appreciate the ongoing discovery and way of life the technique offers.

My work requires me to be in front of a computer for most of my day. For years I have had mild, and sometimes not so mild, pains in my wrists, elbows, shoulders, and neck. For several weeks, I was in more discomfort than usual and it was then that I decided to take classes in Alexander Technique with Diane.

I did not really know what to expect since I had not heard or read much about it. But I was impressed and pleased to realize that this technique is about self-awareness of your body and the way it moves. Diane explained carefully, based on the human anatomy, what a natural and relaxed posture should be. But more importantly, she guided me through exercises so I could experience it and have awareness of how my body feels when I adopt a more relaxed position. Since I started taking the classes, I am so much more aware of how I sit, walk, and in general, how I move my body when doing everyday activities. I will keep practicing for years to come what I learned with Diane and I am grateful for the new awareness I have gained.

There are many benefits of studying the Alexander technique.

I have a back injury, learning better body mechanics has made a world of difference.  It also helps with being more mindful, calm  and present.  I view it as a meditation motion. I've been studying with Diane for over a year now - she is a wonderful and caring person.
